Mission: Renaissance Fine Art Classes has long been recognized as the largest fine art program in the world with locations across Southern California and North Dallas. With 50 years as the leader in the fine art education industry, we have successfully coached tens of thousands of students in the art of drawing and painting using a proprietary curriculum called The Gluck Method.

We are seeking Upbeat, Energetic, Highly Responsible, Professional, and Dedicated individuals interested in a rewarding and creative career in the rapidly expanding Art Education field.

Assistant Art Instructor – Children’s Classes

Zone or Area: All California studio areas

Job Type: Part-time

Initial Training Schedule and Pay Rate:

No previous art experience required! All instructors, regardless of background, are trained to teach children and/or adults how to draw and paint through our unique and exclusive art instructor training program.  Note: This is a paid training program.

Training will be conducted at our Corporate Training Center in Pasadena.

Initial training schedule will consist of:

    • Tuesday: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
    • Wednesday: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
    • Thursday: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
    • Friday: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
    • Saturday: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (class shadowing/in-studio instructing)

Initial Training Duration: Approximately 6-8 weeks

Note: Post Training schedule may vary depending on weekly class time assignments and may include working at one or more area studios. Training amount may vary as well upon completion of the initial 6-8 weeks.

Pay Scale: Starts $17.50 per hour. Pay increases based on training advancement. Additional mileage pay may apply.

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

Assistant Art Instructor Responsibilities:

– Participate in regular training activities to advance and stay current with growing trends and expansion within the company.

– Deliver classes to students using our proprietary, copyrighted method of art instruction – The Gluck Method.

– Set up classroom with equipment and supplies necessary for the conduct of instruction.

– Clean studio. equipment and facilities at the conclusion of daily classes.

– Coach, support, and keep students progressing in their individual artistic growth.

– Willingness to support studio activities and public events at various locations when needed.

– Comfortably and clearly communicate with the public about our classes and method of instruction.

– Communicate and work collaboratively with team members to support the growth of student programs and the company mission.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma/equivalent or beyond.

Basic computer skills.

Management experience is a plus.
